Wonica Unwanted Facial Hair Removal Cream is indicated for the reduction of unwanted facial hair in women. It has been studied specifically for use on the face and adjacent involved areas under the chin.

Pharmacology

Eflornithine, the active ingredient, prevents hair growth by inhibiting the anagen phase of hair production. It does so by irreversibly binding to ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), thus preventing the natural substrate ornithine from accessing the active site.

Dosage & Administration of Wonica Unwanted Facial Hair Removal Cream

• Adults: Apply a thin layer of the cream to affected areas of the face and adjacent areas under the chin twice daily at least 8 hours apart. Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours after application. Continue to use hair removal techniques as needed, applying the cream at least 5 minutes after hair removal. Cosmetics or sunscreens may be applied over treated areas after the cream has dried.
• Elderly: No apparent differences in safety were observed compared to younger patients.
• Children: Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients less than 12 years of age.

Follow the instructions provided by your doctor or on the label. Apply the cream on freshly cleaned and dried skin, and avoid contact with the eyes. Don't discontinue treatment without consulting your physician, as hair growth may resume after stopping the treatment.
