Pharmacology

The pill consists of two parts: a quick-release coating of Esomeprazole Magnesium and an enteric-coated Naproxen core. This design allows for the release of Esomeprazole into the stomach first, followed by the release of Naproxen in the small intestine.

Naproxen is a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has both pain-relieving and fever-reducing properties. It functions by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. • For adults with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Ankylosing Spondylitis, the recommended dose is one tablet twice daily of either 375 mg naproxen/20 mg of esomeprazole or 500 mg naproxen/20 mg of esomeprazole.
• For adolescent patients aged 12 years and older with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and a weight greater than 50 kg, the recommended dose is one tablet twice daily of either 375 mg naproxen/20 mg of esomeprazole or 500 mg naproxen/20 mg of esomeprazole.
• For adolescent patients aged 12 years and older with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and a weight between 38 kg to less than 50 kg, the recommended dose is one tablet twice daily of 375 mg naproxen/20 mg of esomeprazole.
