Indication of Fintop 1% Cream

Used for the topical treatment of:

• Tinea Versicolor

This medicine is used for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin.

• Tinea Pedis

This medicine is used for the treatment of fungal skin infections of the feet.

• Tinea Corporis

This medicine is used for the treatment of fungal skin infections of the arms and legs.

• Tinea Cruris

This medicine is used for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin around the inner thighs, genitals, and buttocks.

Pharmacology

Butenafine is a synthetic antifungal agent that belongs to the allylamine class of antifungals. This leads to an increase in cell membrane permeability and inhibits fungal growth.

Butenafine is particularly effective against dermatophytes, a group of fungi that commonly cause skin infections. Dosage & Administration of Fintop 1% Cream

Adult Dose:

• For tinea pedis (athlete's foot): Apply the 1% cream twice daily for 7 days, not exceeding 4 weeks.
• For tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), and tinea versicolor: Apply the 1% cream once or twice daily for 2 weeks, not exceeding 4 weeks.

Child Dose:

• Children under 12 years old: Safety and efficacy are not established, so it is not recommended for use in this age group.
• Children 12 years and older: Follow the same dosing instructions as adults.

Application Instructions:

• Fintop 1% Cream is for external use only.
• Wash your hands before and after using the medicine.
• Apply a thin layer of the cream over the affected area and the surrounding skin.
• Do not cover the treated area with an airtight dressing such as plastic wrap or bandage.
