Indications:

Aspirin+Clopidogrel is used to prevent Prevention of heart attack and stroke. It decreases the chances of having another heart attack or stroke from a disease related to your heart or blood vessels.

Pharmacology

Clopidogrel, the active ingredient, inhibits platelet activation and aggregation by binding irreversibly to platelet P2Y12 ADP receptors. A single oral dose can dosage-dependently inhibit platelet aggregation two hours later. Repeated doses of 75 mg per day lead to a stable antiplatelet effect between Days 3 and 7.

• For patients needing an antiplatelet effect within hours, start with a single 300 mg (4 tablets) oral loading dose, followed by 75 mg once daily.
