How does Fiberlax Ultra work?

Mebeverine + Ispaghula is a combination of two medicines: Mebeverine and Ispaghula which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Mebeverine is an antispasmodic medicine that relaxes the muscles of the intestine and relieves spasms. Ispaghula is a laxative that absorbs water and makes the stool soft and bulky, easier to pass.

Indications:

Dosage & Administration of Fiberlax Ultra

• Adults and children over 12 years: One sachet in the morning and one in the evening with a glass of water, half an hour before a meal. A midday dose may be taken if necessary.
• Check the label for directions before use. Take Fiberlax Ultra as advised by your physician. Empty the contents of the sachet into a glass of normal water (150 ml), then stir the contents and drink immediately. Do not take this medicine without water. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of Fiberlax Ultra for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

Interaction

Ispaghula Husk can impact gastric emptying time and reduce the absorption of certain minerals. Other medications should be taken an hour before or after Ispaghula Husk and Mebeverine.

Contraindications

Contraindicated if allergic, intestinal obstruction, fecal impaction, or phenylketonuria is present.

Pregnancy & Lactation
