Some patients may require higher doses of 40-60 mg per day, while others may respond well to lower doses of 10-15 mg per day.
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): The recommended dose is also 20-30 mg per day, divided into two doses taken approximately 8-12 hours apart. Methyphen should be taken 30-45 minutes before meals. The dose can be gradually increased on a weekly basis if needed. Some individuals may require higher doses of 40-60 mg per day, while others may respond well to lower doses of 10-15 mg per day.

Child Dose:

• Narcolepsy: For children over 6 years of age, the initial dose is 5 mg taken orally twice daily, 30-45 minutes before breakfast and lunch. The dose can be increased by 5-10 mg per day on a weekly basis. The maximum recommended dose is 60 mg per day, divided into two or three doses.

The safety and efficacy of Methyphen in children under 6 years of age have not been established, so its use is not recommended in this age group.

• CNS depression (central nervous system suppression) may occur when Methyphen 10mg Tablet is taken with alcohol.
• Severe toxic reactions may occur when Methyphen 10mg Tablet is taken with clonidine.

Contraindications
