This medication contains a combination of essential B vitamins: Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride), and Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin). These vitamins play a crucial role as co-enzymes in nerve system metabolism and support the regeneration of nerve fibers and myelin sheath.
Deficiency
These vitamins are absorbed well when taken orally and play essential roles in nerve metabolism, energy production, and overall nerve health. They support the regeneration of nerve fibers and myelin sheath, aiding in the treatment of various nerve-related conditions. Thiamine is not stored in the body and is excreted in the urine. Pyridoxine is mainly stored in the liver and excreted in urine, while cyanocobalamin is important for cell replication and RBC production.
Generally well tolerated, but allergic reactions may be observed in a few cases.
No overdosage symptoms are expected in the recommended dosage. Treatment, if necessary, is symptomatic and supportive.
No drug interactions have been reported.
This medication is contraindicated in patients on levodopa therapy and in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
There are no known risks associated with the use of this combination during pregnancy at the recommended dosage. These vitamins are secreted into breast milk, but the risks of overdose for the infant are not known.
Cyanocobalamin should not be given in patients with subacute degeneration of the spinal cord. It is not suitable for the treatment of optic neuropathies associated with raised plasma concentrations of cyanocobalamin.
