Vestar MR 35mg Tablet is used in adult patients for the management of angina pectoris (chest pain caused by heart disease) along with other medicines. It protects heart cells from the effects of reduced oxygen supply during an episode of angina.
Angina is characterized by sudden, sharp, and severe chest pain, pressure, or discomfort caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. It is a symptom of underlying coronary heart disease, which involves narrowing or blockage of blood vessels carrying blood and oxygen to the heart. The pain may radiate to the left shoulder and can also be felt in the jaw, neck, back, or abdomen. Shortness of breath and fatigue may also occur.
Vestar MR 35mg Tablet is not recommended if you have Parkinson's disease (a brain disorder affecting movement) or severe kidney problems.
- Use cautiously in elderly patients (above 75 years), pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers.

Indication of Vestar MR 35mg Tablet
Vestar MR is an anti-anginal medicine used to treat heart-related chest pain (angina). It prevents new attacks of angina but does not stop an acute attack once it has started. It should be taken regularly as advised by the doctor.
Pharmacology
Trimetazidine acts as a cytoprotective agent by inhibiting anaerobic glycolysis and fatty acid metabolism, restoring energy balance in the cell.
Dosage & Administration of Vestar MR 35mg Tablet
Adult Dose: For Angina pectoris, the adult dose is 40-60 mg daily in 2-3 divided doses. Modified-release tablets are available with a dosage of 35 mg twice daily.
Renal Dose: In renal impairment, dosage adjustment is required based on creatinine clearance (CrCl). Vestar MR is contraindicated in patients with CrCl <30 mL/min.
Interaction
Vestar MR may interact with MAOIs, nifedipine, and other antianginal medications.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Trimetazidine Dihydrochloride.
Pregnancy & Lactation
The use of Vestar MR during pregnancy is not recommended unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. It's not known whether Vestar MR passes into breast milk, so breastfeeding while taking this medication should be done only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Precautions & Warnings
Use with caution in moderate renal impairment (CrCl 30-60 mL/min) and during pregnancy. Vestar MR may cause dizziness and drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
Storage Conditions
