How Papilovax 0.5ml Injection works

Papilovax 0.5ml Injection is a vaccine that helps to develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness, but it stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies to protect against any future infections.

• Papilovax 0.5ml Injection aids in preventing Human Papillomavirus (HPV)-related illnesses including genital warts and certain cancers like cervical cancer.
• An already existing HPV infection is not cured by it. However, it can shield you from other HPV strains.

• The vaccine should be shaken well before use and should appear as a white homogeneous suspension after shaking. It should be administered promptly after removal from the refrigeration container.

Contraindication

Known hypersensitivity to any component. Postpone admin in the patient suffering from an acute febrile illness.

Precautions & Warnings

• It is advisable to observe the patient for 15 minutes after the vaccination since the risk of syncope, or momentary loss of consciousness, following vaccinations exists.
• Patients with thrombocytopenia or other coagulation abnormalities should take caution as IM administration might result in hemorrhage.
• Not to be taken intravenously, subcutaneously, or topically. Immune responses to the vaccination may be less robust in immunocompromised people.
• Routine cervical screening should still be done because immunization does not offer protection against all HPV infections or pre-existing HPV infections.
• Not advised for use during pregnancy; use with caution while nursing. Breast milk distribution during lactation is unknown, so proceed with caution.
• Drink a lot of water. Staying hydrated is essential both before and after your vaccination.

Storage Conditions

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at +2ºC to +8ºC. Transportation should also be at +2ºC to +8ºC. Do not freeze. Discard the vaccine if frozen. Protect from light.
