Description:

Betavate N Ointment is a combination of Betamethasone and Neomycin that falls under Corticosteroids and Antibiotics, respectively. It is used to alleviate symptoms such as redness and itching caused by skin conditions that may be prone to infection, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, or insect bites.

To apply, spread a thin layer of the cream on the affected area while avoiding contact with eyes, mouth, ears, nose, open wounds, and genitals. Use it on the face only if a doctor recommends it, and refrain from covering the area with bandages, dressings, or clothing. It is not advisable to use nappies on children after application.

Avoid being close to smoke or flames to avoid getting burned. Ichthyosis is a condition where the skin becomes thick, dry and flaky, resembling fish scales.Betavate N Ointment etnovate N Cream is used to alleviate symptoms associated with these conditions, including redness, rashes, and itching.

Pharmacology

Betamethasone is a type of corticosteroid that is commonly used in topical creams to treat inflammatory skin conditions, including psoriasis. It can provide quick relief from symptoms associated with these conditions. Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections. It has a broad spectrum of activity against many types of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Proteus. This combination of betamethasone and neomycin sulfate is effective in treating various skin conditions, especially those with bacterial infections. The cream can penetrate the skin and distribute evenly, making it effective in areas with hair and abrasions. It is particularly effective in treating wet skin ulcers.

Dosage & Administration of Betavate N Ointment
  • Adults should apply this mixture in a thin layer to the afflicted areas of their skin 3 to 4 times per day. In chronic diseases, therapy withdrawal is accomplished by reducing the frequency of administration until the cream is used just once a week. Alternatively, as instructed by your doctor.
  • Use in children: Do not use on children under the age of one year. Unless specifically specified by your doctor, a course of therapy for a kid should not last more than 5 days.
