✔️ Dosage & Administration of Gluvan Plus

• The dose depends on the patient's current treatment, blood glucose levels, kidney function, and the strength of the combination.
• Take Gluvan Plus exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• It may be taken twice daily, with one tablet in the morning and another in the evening, depending on the prescribed strength.
• Take it with or just after meals to help reduce stomach-related side effects.
• Swallow the tablet as directed and do not change the dose without medical advice.
• Do not exceed the recommended total daily vildagliptin dose of 100 mg.

✔️ Side Effects: Gluvan Plus

• Nausea and other gastrointestinal discomfort
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Tremor
• Low blood glucose, particularly when used with other glucose-lowering medicines

Serious side effects: Metformin can rarely cause lactic acidosis, a medical emergency. Warning signs may include unusual muscle pain, severe weakness, breathing difficulties, abdominal discomfort, or unusual sleepiness. Seek urgent medical care if these occur.

Vildagliptin may also cause liver problems or, rarely, pancreatitis. Seek medical attention for persistent severe abdominal pain or symptoms of liver dysfunction, such as yellowing of the skin or eyes.

• Diuretics: Some, particularly those that can affect kidney function or hydration, may increase the risk of complications.

Gl uvan Plus should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to either ingredient, severe renal impairment, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis (including diabetic ketoacidosis), or other conditions specified in the product prescribing information. It is not recommended in patients with significant hepatic impairment.

✔️ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Gl uvan Plus is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding because of insufficient safety information for the combination. Consult your doctor about appropriate blood glucose management if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.

• Low blood glucose: Monitor your blood glucose regularly, particularly if you take other antidiabetic medicines.
