✅ Description:

Ipsavent Nebuliser Solution contains two bronchodilators: Salbutamol Sulphate and Ipratropium Bromide.
Salbutamol is a selective β₂-adrenergic agonist that relaxes bronchial smooth muscle, providing rapid relief from bronchoconstriction.
Ipratropium Bromide is an anticholinergic agent that inhibits vagally mediated bronchoconstriction by blocking muscarinic receptors in the airways.

The combined action produces synergistic bronchodilation, offering greater efficacy than either agent alone, without increasing adverse effects.

Ipratropium Bromide has minimal systemic absorption following inhalation (<10%) and does not cross the blood–brain barrier.
Salbutamol is rapidly absorbed, with peak plasma levels occurring within 3 hours. It is excreted unchanged in urine and has an elimination half-life of approximately 4 hours.
Co-nebulisation does not increase systemic absorption, and therapeutic benefit results primarily from local pulmonary effects.

Adults (including elderly): One 3 ml ampoule via nebuliser four times daily
Up to two additional doses may be used if required
Children: Dose to be determined by the physician
Administer using a suitable nebuliser or intermittent positive pressure ventilator.
