Beclovan 10 contains baclofen, a muscle relaxant and antispasmodic medicine used to relieve muscle stiffness, spasms, rigidity, and increased muscle tone associated with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, motor neuron disease, and injuries or disorders affecting the brain or spinal cord. It may also be prescribed for other conditions involving muscle spasticity.
Beclovan 10 works on the central nervous system to reduce excessive muscle activity, helping improve movement and relieve discomfort. Take it according to your doctor's instructions, preferably with or after food. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice.
- Children: Use only under medical supervision, with dosing determined by age, weight and the condition being treated.
- Older adults: Careful dose selection and monitoring may be necessary because of increased sensitivity to adverse effects and the possibility of reduced kidney function.
- Renal impairment: Baclofen may accumulate in the body. Dose reduction or an alternative treatment may be needed, particularly in severe kidney impairment
Beclovan 10 should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to baclofen or any of the tablet's ingredients. Active peptic ulcer disease is also listed as a contraindication in some product references; consult the applicable product information and your doctor before use.
Pregnancy: Available human data are insufficient to establish the safety of baclofen during pregnancy. Animal studies have identified developmental effects at certain doses. Use during pregnancy only when the treating physician determines that the expected benefits justify the potential risks. Do not discontinue long-term treatment abruptly if pregnancy occurs.
Breastfeeding: Baclofen passes into breast milk in small amounts. Evidence regarding its effects on milk production and breastfed infants is limited. Consult a healthcare professional before using Beclovan 10 while breastfeeding, and seek advice before stopping treatment or breastfeeding because withdrawal symptoms may occur in certain circumstances.
Store according to the manufacturer's instructions, protected from excessive heat and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
