Active Ingredient: Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride

Moxif Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible strains of the following organisms:

Aerobic Gram-positive bacteria: Corynebacterium species, Micrococcus luteus, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Staphylococcus hominis, Staphylococcus warneri, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Streptococcus viridans group.
Aerobic Gram-negative bacteria: Acinetobacter lwoffii, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae.
Other microorganisms: Chlamydia trachomatis.

In vitro data show Moxifloxacin does not inhibit CYP3A4, CYP2D6, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, or CYP1A2, suggesting minimal potential for metabolic interactions.

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivities

Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk.
Although excretion in human milk is presumed, caution should be taken when administering to nursing mothers.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

Prolonged use may cause superinfection by non-susceptible organisms, including fungi.
Discontinue use if superinfection develops.
Patients with bacterial conjunctivitis should avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment.
Clinical assessment may require slit-lamp biomicroscopy and fluorescein staining when indicated.

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
Do not freeze.
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Discard after 1 month of first opening.
