✔️ Dosage & Administration: Aceta Extended Release Tablets

• Adults & Children 12 years and older: Take two tablets every 6 to 8 hours. Swallow whole without crushing. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours.

✔️ Overdose Risks

In adults, consumption of more than 10 grams of Aceta Extend may result in liver damage. In individuals with risk factors, such as those taking specific enzyme-inducing medications or those with conditions leading to depleted glutathione levels (e.g., malnutrition, cystic fibrosis), liver damage can occur with 5 grams or more.

Symptoms of Overdose

Within the first 24 hours, symptoms may include:

• Pallor, nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, and abdominal pain Liver damage may emerge 12-48 hours after ingestion, potentially leading to severe conditions such as:
• Glucose metabolism abnormalities, metabolic acidosis, hepatic failure, encephalopathy, hypoglycemia, cerebral edema, and death Severe cases may involve renal failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and pancreatitis.

Treatment

Immediate intervention is critical. Activated charcoal may be administered if the overdose occurred within the past hour. Plasma levels of Aceta Extend should be checked four hours or later post-ingestion to confirm severity. Treatment may involve N-acetylcysteine within 24 hours of overdose, with optimal effectiveness within the first 8 hours. If intravenous N-acetylcysteine is not available, oral methionine may be an alternative in remote settings. Patients with significant liver impairment 24+ hours post-ingestion should be managed with a specialized liver unit.

✔️ Drug Interactions

Patients who consume barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, or alcohol may experience a reduced ability to process large doses of Aceta Extend. Chronic alcohol consumption or the use of anticonvulsants and certain oral contraceptives may increase liver enzyme activity, accelerating the metabolism of Aceta Extend and potentially reducing its effectiveness.

✔️ Contraindications

Aceta Extend should not be used by individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Paracetamol.

✔️ Aceta Extend; Side effects are generally mild, though some individuals may experience hematologic reactions, such as:

• Reduced platelet counts (thrombocytopenia)
• Decreased white blood cells (leucopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia)
• Loss of certain immune cells (agranulocytosis) Other possible side effects include pancreatitis, skin rashes, and allergic reactions.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Studies have shown no adverse effects from Paracetamol when used at recommended doses during pregnancy. However, it should only be used under a doctor's guidance. Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk in negligible amounts and is generally considered safe for breastfeeding.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Exercise caution when administering Aceta Extend to patients with severe kidney or liver disease. Overdose risk is higher in individuals with non-cirrhotic alcoholic liver disease.
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Patients should avoid taking multiple products containing Paracetamol simultaneously.
• This medication should only be used by the prescribed individual when necessary.
