Children (2–6 years): 2.5 ml syrup, 3–4 times daily
Children (6–12 years): 5 ml syrup, 3–4 times daily
Over 12 years: 5–10 ml syrup or 2–4 mg tablet, 3–4 times daily
Adults: 2–4 mg tablet, 3–4 times daily (maximum single dose: 8 mg)

Possible side effects include fine tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, headache, and tachycardia. Peripheral vasodilation and nervousness may also occur, especially with higher doses.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:

Salbu should only be used during pregnancy if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. It is unknown whether Salbutamol is excreted in breast milk; therefore, caution is advised when used by nursing mothers.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

Use with caution in patients with thyroid disorders, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, aneurysms, or diabetes mellitus. High doses may cause hypokalaemia, increasing the risk of arrhythmia, particularly in patients on digitalis.
Prolonged or excessive use may lead to tolerance (tachyphylaxis).
