✔️ Pharmacology

Vilanterol Trifenatate + Fluticasone Furoate combines a synthetic corticosteroid (Fluticasone Furoate) and a LABA (Vilanterol). • COPD: 1 inhalation of 25/100 mcg once daily.
• Asthma: 1 inhalation of either 25/100 mcg or 25/200 mcg once daily.

• Children & Adolescents: Not recommended for patients under 18 years.
• Hepatic Impairment: Monitor for increased Fluticasone Furoate exposure.

• Inhalation Only: This medication is strictly for inhalation use.
• Doctor’s Advice: Use Vilanterol Trifenatate + Fluticasone Furoate only as prescribed by your doctor.
• Preparation: Place the capsule at the base of the device (rotahaler, transhaler, instahaler, or redihaler). Twist the mouthpiece completely until you hear a clicking sound, indicating it's ready for use.
• Inhalation: Inhale the powder deeply through the mouthpiece, then hold your breath for 10 seconds.
• Do Not Swallow: Ensure that you do not swallow the capsule, as it is not meant for oral ingestion.

• P450 3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole): May increase corticosteroid and cardiovascular effects.

• Beta-blockers: These may reduce bronchodilatory effects and cause bronchospasm.
• Diuretics: May exacerbate ECG changes and hypokalemia.
