✔️ Each gram of Emobac Cream contains:

• Liquid Paraffin BP 100 mg
• Benzalkonium Chloride USP 1 mg
• Chlorhexidine Hydrochloride BP 1 mg
• Isopropyl Myristate BP 100 mg

✔️ Pharmacology

The active ingredients in Emobac Cream consist of two main types:

Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride act as antimicrobials that help:

• Combat bacteria on the skin that can exacerbate eczema
• Prevent infections that may result from scratching itchy skin

Liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate function as emollients, which help:

• Soften, moisturize, and protect the skin by retaining moisture and restoring its protective barrier
• Prevent skin drying and irritation that can occur from bathing or using conventional soaps and cleansers

This product can be used alongside any other emollients or treatments prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist for dry skin.

✔️ Side Effects of Emobac Cream

Like all medications, Emobac Cream can cause side effects, though not everyone will experience them. If you notice any of the following, stop using Emobac Cream and seek immediate medical attention: swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; a sudden itchy skin rash (hives) away from the application site; wheezing or breathing difficulties; feelings of faintness or dizziness; an unusual metallic taste; or fainting. You may be having a severe allergic reaction. Emobac is specifically designed for use on dry or problematic skin anywhere on the body. Rarely, it can cause skin reactions such as redness, irritation, or itching in treated areas, especially with excessive use as a leave-on application in folded skin areas like the groin or diaper region.

✔️ Dosage of Emobac Cream

For adults, children, and the elderly: Apply Emobac Cream to the affected areas as needed. Gently massage it into the skin until it is absorbed. As a soap alternative, Emobac Cream can also be used in the bath or shower instead of regular soap or shower gel.
Always follow the advice of a registered physician when using this medication.

✔️ Administration of Emobac Cream

Emobac Cream is intended for external use only. For optimal results, it should be applied regularly and as often as necessary.
Before using the 500 ml bottle, unlock the pump dispenser by turning the top anti-clockwise. After unlocking, press down the pump several times to prime it before dispensing any product. The same instructions apply to all age groups.

✔️ For leave-on application:

• Apply Emobac Cream to the affected areas and smooth it gently into the skin.
• Allow any excess to absorb without vigorous rubbing.
• Reapply as needed.
• If using another treatment on the same skin areas, avoid mixing them by applying them alternately, allowing enough time for each to soak in.

✔️ Interaction

Emobac is not known to interact with other medications, nor is it influenced by them.

✔️ Contraindications

Emobac Cream should not be used if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, or any other ingredients in Emobac Cream.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Emobac Cream is considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The ingredients have been widely used in similar formulations for many years without reports of complications, although formal safety trials have not been conducted

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

As with any product, there is a potential for severe generalized allergic reactions. There have been rare instances of such reactions in sensitive individuals, potentially leading to a drop in blood pressure and even unconsciousness, associated with chlorhexidine-containing products. If you have previously experienced issues with chlorhexidine products, do not use Emobac Cream.

Avoid smoking or approaching open flames, as Emobac Cream poses a fire hazard. Fabric that has contacted Emobac is more flammable and poses a significant risk. Washing affected clothing and bedding may reduce product accumulation but will not completely remove it.

When using Emobac, take these precautions:

• For those with sensitive skin, it’s advisable to test any new treatment on a small area first to check for any adverse reactions, particularly when treating the face or children. Afterward, treatments can be applied more liberally as needed.
• Keep Emobac Cream away from the eyes, especially when applying it to the face.
• When used as a soap substitute in baths or showers, be cautious, as it can create slippery surfaces—consider using mats to prevent slips.
• Cetostearyl alcohol may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis). If you have a history of such reactions to any ingredients, consult your doctor before using Emobac.
