By inhibiting calcium entry, Mirogabalin decreases the release of neurotransmitters at the presynaptic neuron endings, thereby reducing neuronal excitability and alleviating pain signals.

• Adults:
  • Start with 5 mg twice daily, gradually increasing by 5 mg every week to a maximum of 15 mg twice daily, depending on the patient’s age and symptoms.
• Children and Adolescents:
  • The safety and effectiveness of children and adolescents have not been established.
• Hepatic Impairment:
  • A single 15 mg dose is generally safe for patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. No data is available for severe impairment.
• Renal Impairment:
  • Mild renal dysfunction: Start at 5 mg twice daily, increasing weekly by 5 mg to a maximum of 10 mg twice daily.
  • Moderate renal dysfunction: Start at 2.5 mg twice daily, increasing weekly by 2.5 mg to a maximum of 7.5 mg twice daily.
  • Severe renal dysfunction: Start at 2.5 mg once daily, increasing weekly by 2.5 mg to a maximum of 7.5 mg once daily.

With other medications:

With food and alcohol:
