Common:

• Somnolence
• Dizziness
• Edema (swelling)
• Weight gain

Rare but serious:

• Liver Dysfunction: Symptoms include jaundice, nausea, vomiting, and general malaise.
• Severe CNS Effects: Light-headedness, loss of consciousness, or near-unconscious states.

✔️ Indications: Neumig 5

Mirogabalin, a gabapentinoid, is prescribed for managing neuropathic pain, including:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPNP)
• Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN)
• Peripheral neuropathic pain (PNP)

✔️ Drug Interactions: Neumig 5

• Alcohol & CNS Depressants (e.g., Lorazepam): Enhanced sedative effects.
• Cimetidine & Probenecid: May increase plasma concentrations of Mirogabalin.

✔️ Contraindications: Neumig 5

• Hypersensitivity to Mirogabalin or any formulation components.
• Mild to moderate hepatic and renal impairment.

✔️ Dosage & Administration: Neumig 5

• Initial Dose: 5 mg orally, twice daily.
• Titration: Gradual increments of 5 mg at weekly intervals, up to 15 mg twice daily.
• Maintenance Dose: Between 10 mg and 15 mg twice daily, based on age and symptom severity.
• Always take the medication as directed by your physician.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Alcohol Use: Avoid consuming alcohol, as Mirogabalin can cause excessive drowsiness and CNS depression.
• Driving/Operating Machinery: This drug may impair alertness, and cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Avoid such activities if symptoms occur.
• Kidney Impairment: Caution is advised; dose adjustment may be necessary.
• Liver Impairment: No dose adjustment is required, making it safe for use in patients with liver disease.
• Elderly Patients: Special attention is required due to an increased risk of dizziness and somnolence.

• Pregnancy: Limited safety data; consult your doctor.
• Lactation: Insufficient data on its excretion in breast milk; consult your doctor before use.
