✔️ Indications:
Biovit-M is indicated for the treatment and prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiencies arising from poor dietary intake, restricted diets, alcoholism, or impaired absorption. It is also beneficial for patients with increased nutritional requirements due to acute or chronic illnesses, pregnancy, lactation, menopause, infections, convalescence, or prolonged antibiotic therapy.
Periconceptional supplementation (from three months before conception through the first trimester) helps prevent major birth defects in developing babies.
✔️ Dosage & Administration
Adults and children (over 5 years): One tablet daily, or as directed by the physician.
✔️ Side Effects
Generally well tolerated. Rarely, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, abdominal discomfort, or constipation may occur due to iron content. High doses of individual vitamins or minerals may cause adverse effects.
✔️ Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation.
- Not intended for managing severe specific vitamin or mineral deficiencies.
- Contraindicated in patients taking levodopa, as pyridoxine may reduce its effectiveness.
- High doses of Vitamin A (more than 10 tablets daily) during the first trimester of pregnancy may cause fetal harm.
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation
Recommended daily dosage should not be exceeded during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester, as excessive Vitamin A intake may be teratogenic.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings:
Not suitable for the treatment of pernicious or megaloblastic anemia due to Vitamin B12 deficiency.
Use under medical supervision in patients with specific metabolic or absorption disorders.
✔️ Storage:
Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
