✔️ Pharmacology:

Zinc plays a crucial role in various biological functions, including immune system support, wound healing, digestion, reproduction, and overall physical and mental development. It is essential for normal growth, particularly during pregnancy, childhood, and adolescence. Zinc also has antioxidant properties and is used to manage ADHD in children. Zinc deficiency in adults can lead to loss of appetite, impaired taste and smell, depression, white spots on nails, frequent infections, low fertility, prostate issues, poor wound healing, weak immunity, diarrhea, fatigue, dry skin, and weight loss.

B vitamins are essential for energy metabolism and maintaining healthy brain and nerve function. They support the formation of red blood cells in both children and adults, promoting proper growth and development. Deficiency in B vitamins can lead to extreme fatigue, and neurological symptoms such as weakness, imbalance, confusion, irritability, memory loss, nervousness, limb tingling, and coordination problems. Other signs of deficiency include sleep disturbances, nausea, poor appetite, frequent infections, and skin disorders.

✔️ Dosage & Administration:

Syrup:

• Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 2–3 times daily or as prescribed by a physician.
• Children: 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 1–3 times daily or as advised by a physician.
• Infants: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 1–2 times daily or as directed by a physician.

Generally well tolerated, but some individuals may experience mild side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach discomfort. Side effects from specific vitamins are rare and usually occur at significantly higher doses than recommended.

✔️ Drug Interactions:

• Tetracyclines & Zinc: Concurrent use may reduce gastrointestinal (GI) absorption and lower serum levels of tetracyclines.
• Zinc & Fluoroquinolones: Co-administration may decrease the GI absorption and serum levels of some fluoroquinolones.
• Niacin & HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors (e.g., Lovastatin): Combined use may lead to muscle-related conditions like myopathy and rhabdomyolysis.
• Pyridoxine & Levodopa: Pyridoxine may reduce the effectiveness of levodopa by increasing its metabolism outside the brain.
• Pyridoxine & Phenytoin: Co-administration may lower phenytoin serum levels.

✔️ Contraindications:

Not recommended for individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.

✔️ Overdose Effects:

Excessive intake may cause epigastric pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is required. Treatment may include induced vomiting, gastric lavage, and supportive care.

✔️ Use During Pregnancy & Lactation:

Safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings:

• Patients with acute kidney failure should be used with caution, as excessive zinc accumulation may occur.
• This product is not intended to treat severe specific deficiencies.
