Abiquin Hydroquinone, Tretinoin & Fluocinolone Cream 15g

✔️ Dosage & Administration

• Apply once daily at night, at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
• Cleanse the face and neck with a gentle cleanser, rinse, and pat dry.
• Apply a thin layer to the melasma-affected areas, extending about half an inch onto the surrounding normal skin. Gently massage the cream into the skin.
• During daytime, apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing. Limit sun exposure.
• Moisturizers and makeup may be used during the day.

Pediatric Use: Safety and efficacy in children have not been established.

✔️ Side Effects

Some users may experience:

• Mild to moderate redness, dryness, peeling, burning, or itching at the site of application
• Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing or asthma exacerbation

✔️ Avoid using:

• Abrasive or medicated soaps
• Products with alcohol or strong astringents
• Drying cosmetics
• Keratolytic products or other irritants
• Other topical or systemic agents that cause photosensitivity

✔️ Contraindications

Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fluocinolone Acetonide, Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, or any ingredient in the formulation.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy:

• Category C. Contains tretinoin, which has been linked to fetal harm in animal studies.
• Should only be used in pregnancy if the expected benefits outweigh potential risks.

Lactation:

• While it’s unclear if topical use leads to significant drug levels in breast milk, systemic corticosteroids can appear in breast milk.
• Caution is advised when used by breastfeeding mothers.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Irritation from Hydroquinone and Tretinoin may occur; this includes redness, itching, dryness, and mild burning.
• If severe irritation or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use.
• Contains Fluocinolone Acetonide, which can be absorbed through the skin and may lead to reversible suppression of the HPA axis, potentially causing Cushing's syndrome, high blood sugar, or glucosuria.
• Discontinue use if systemic effects are observed; normal HPA axis function typically returns after stopping the cream.

✔️ Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of children’s reach.
