✔️ Dosage of Utramal Retard 100 (Tramadol Hydrochloride)
Tablets/Capsules (Immediate Release)
- Usual dose: 50–100 mg every 4–6 hours.
- For acute pain: Start with 100 mg.
- For chronic pain: Start with 50 mg.
- Max daily dose: 400 mg.
Tramadol Hydrochloride can be used in children over 1 year old at 1–2 mg/kg body weight.
- SR capsules and suppositories are not advised for children under 14 years

- Those allergic to tramadol.
- People with alcohol or drug intoxication.
- Patients already on opioids, sedatives, or psychotropic drugs.
✔️ Drug Interactions
- Generally safe, but avoid using it with MAO inhibitors.
- Carbamazepine speeds up tramadol metabolism—dosage adjustment may be needed.
