Common side effects:

• Dizziness, nausea, constipation, headache, somnolence, vomiting.
• Less common: Allergic reactions, weight loss, abdominal pain, GI issues.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

Suppository:

• 100 mg every 6 hours, not exceeding 400 mg per day. Higher doses may be used for cancer pain or post-op.
• Children (1+ years): 1-2 mg/kg body weight.
• Under 14 years: Do not use suppositories.

✔️ Interactions

• Carbamazepine increases Anadol metabolism, requiring a dosage adjustment.
• MAO inhibitors should not be used with Anadol due to the risk of serotonin syndrome.

✔️ Instructions for Use: Anadol 100mg Suppository

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
• Remove the wrapper from the suppository.
• Lie down on your left side with your right knee raised to your chest.
• Alternatively, you can assume a comfortable position for easy insertion.
• Hold the suppository by the base (rounded end) and insert the pointed end into the rectum.
• Push it gently but firmly, far enough so it stays in place.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after the procedure.
• Lie still for a few minutes to ensure the suppository stays in place.

✔️ Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to tramadol.
• Acute intoxication with alcohol, hypnotics, opioids, or psychotropic drugs.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: Should only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks, as tramadol crosses the placenta.
• Breastfeeding: Should not be used, as tramadol passes into breast milk.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Respiratory depression: Can occur with large doses or in combination with other depressants (e.g., alcohol, anesthetics).
• Opioid dependence: Not recommended for patients dependent on opioids.
• Concomitant CNS depressants: Should be used cautiously with sedatives, tranquilizers, or alcohol.
• Increased intracranial pressure: Caution in patients with head injuries.
