- Otorhinolaryngology: Pre-operative medication for pain, inflammation, and swelling prevention.

✔️ DicloGel (Gel form):
Apply 2-4 g of gel 3-4 times daily to the affected area, rubbing it in lightly.
✔️ Side Effects:
- Generally well tolerated with mild, rare, and transient side effects.
- Possible side effects include epigastric pain, nausea, dizziness, headache, skin reactions, and peripheral edema.
- DicloGel may cause local skin irritation and redness.
✔️ Drug Interactions:
- Lithium & Digoxin: May increase plasma concentrations.
- Anticoagulants: Risk of bleeding, though clinical impact is minimal.
- Cyclosporin: Nephrotoxicity risk when used with Diclofenac.
- Methotrexate: Risk of toxicity when used within 24 hours of each other.
- Quinolones: Caution advised due to increased risk of convulsions.
- Other NSAIDs & Steroids: Increased risk of side effects when used together.
✔️ Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Diclofenac or any component.
- Peptic ulcers, history of gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Contraindicated in asthmatic patients sensitive to NSAIDs or acetylsalicylic acid.
- Not for use under occlusive airtight dressings.
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:
- Pregnancy: Use only for compelling reasons. Not recommended during the first trimester.
- Lactation: Small amounts may be present in breast milk, but no adverse effects are expected on the infant.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings:
- Rare cases of peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Use with caution in elderly patients.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; wash hands thoroughly after application.
- Do not ingest.
