✅ Description:
Mexiderm-N combines two potent therapeutic agents:
- Betamethasone, a topical corticosteroid with strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties, offers rapid relief in inflammatory dermatoses such as psoriasis.
- Neomycin Sulfate, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Proteus vulgaris and Staphylococcus aureus.
This formulation ensures effective penetration and even distribution, making it suitable for hair-bearing and intertriginous areas, as well as for moist ulcerative skin conditions.

✔️ Dosage & Administration:
Adults:
Apply a thin layer of Mexiderm-N to the affected area 3–4 times daily. In chronic conditions, gradually reduce frequency as symptoms improve until maintenance application (as infrequently as once weekly).
Children:
Not recommended for children under 1 year of age. For older children, treatment duration should not exceed 5 days unless advised by a physician.
✔️ Drug Interaction:
No clinically significant interactions have been reported with Betamethasone Valerate and Neomycin Sulfate when used topically.
✔️ Mexiderm-N is contraindicated in patients with:
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation
- Perforated eardrum (in otitis externa)
- Viral or fungal skin infections
✔️ Side Effects:
- Cushing’s syndrome
- Acne
- Skin thinning
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:
Extensive or prolonged use during pregnancy is not recommended unless the potential benefit outweighs the risk.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid long-term continuous use to prevent the development of resistant microorganisms. Apply only to infected or affected areas in the prescribed dose.
✔️ Storage:
Store below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
