Olmedip is used for the management of high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medicines. It may be prescribed as initial therapy in patients who are likely to require more than one drug to achieve the target blood pressure. The choice of starting with combination therapy depends on individual factors such as baseline blood pressure, treatment goals, and the likelihood of achieving control with single or multiple agents. Blood pressure targets may vary depending on a patient’s overall cardiovascular risk.
