Alphapress XR 5 contains Prazosin, an Alpha-Blocker used to manage:
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Heart failure (when the heart doesn’t pump blood effectively)
- Raynaud’s disease (causing numbness and cold in fingers and toes)
- Prostatic hyperplasia (age-related mild prostate enlargement causing urinary difficulties, especially at night)
- Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or if you’ve experienced fainting after urination.
- May cause complications during eye surgeries (e.g., cataract surgery), so inform your doctor if you have upcoming eye procedures.
- Not recommended for: Children under 12 years
- Patients allergic to prazosin or other quinazolines (e.g., doxazosin, terazosin)
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women and elderly patients (use with caution).
