✔️ Side Effects of Minomal R 350mg Tablet

Common side effects include stomach irritation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hematemesis, epigastric pain, and tremor. High doses can lead to ventricular arrhythmias or seizures as initial signs of intoxication. Other side effects may include headaches, irritability, insomnia, seizures, convulsions, hyperexcitability, palpitations, tachycardia, hypotension, circulatory failure, ventricular arrhythmia, flushing, proteinuria, diuresis, and hematuria. Inappropriate ADH syndrome can also occur.

✔️ How does Minomal R 350mg Tablet work?

Minomal R is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways, widening them, and making breathing easier.

✔️ Quick Suggestions:

• Take at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.
• Does not work immediately; always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler for emergencies.
• Regular blood tests may be needed to monitor potassium levels and drug concentration.
• Notify your doctor if you have a history of kidney, liver, or heart disease, or a smoking history.
• Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

✔️ Oral Dosage

• Chronic bronchospasm:
  • Adults: Initially, 225-450 mg twice daily, increased if necessary.
  • Children >3 years: Modified-release hydrate, 12 mg/kg daily increased to 24 mg/kg daily in two divided doses after 1 week.

• Swallow the tablet whole, do not chew or crush it.
• Take on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

✔️ Interaction

• Clearance of Minomal R is reduced by drugs such as allopurinol, antiarrhythmics, cimetidine, disulfiram, fluvoxamine, interferon-alpha, macrolide antibiotics, quinolones, oral contraceptives, thiabendazole, and viloxazine.
• Clearance is increased by phenytoin, anticonvulsants, ritonavir, rifampicin, and cigarette smoking.
• Increased risk of cardiac arrhythmias with sympathomimetics and halothane.
• Increased risk of convulsion with quinolones and ketamine.

✔️ Contraindications

Minomal R 350mg Tablet should not be used in patients who are allergic to xanthine or ethylenediamine. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers due to its potential to increase the volume and acidity of gastric secretions.
