Zero 8 mg is an artificial sweetener and sugar substitute with noncaloric properties. It is not broken down by the body upon ingestion, making it noncaloric. Known as E955 in the European Union, Zero 8 mg is significantly sweeter than sucrose, aspartame, saccharin, and acesulfame potassium. It remains stable under heat and across a wide range of pH levels, making it suitable for baking and products requiring longer shelf life. The success of Zero 8 mg-based products is attributed to their favorable taste, stability, and safety compared to other low-calorie sweeteners.

The acceptable daily intake of Zero 8 mg is 5-15 mg/kg body weight. Normally, 1 tablet (8 mg) in a cup of tea or coffee is sufficient to sweeten the drink.
