- Adults: 250 mg, 1-2 capsules, taken 2-3 times daily for 5-12 days.
- Children (1-5 years): 1 teaspoon (5 ml) three times daily for 5 days.
- Children (5-18 years): 2 teaspoons (10 ml) three times daily for 5 days.
- Adults (18 years and above): 3 teaspoons (15 ml) three times daily for 5 days, or as advised by a physician.

✔️ Drug Interactions
- Pepelif may increase the bioavailability of amiodarone; dosage adjustment is recommended when co-administered.
- In vitro studies show Pepelif enhances the activity of antibiotics like penicillin G, ampicillin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, cephalothin, polymyxin B, rifampicin, amikacin, nalidixic acid, gentamicin, chloramphenicol, and ofloxacin. When combined, Carica papaya extract synergizes with these antimicrobial agents, improving their efficacy against pathogenic organisms.
✔️ Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the components of Pepelif.
- Pregnancy.
- Men with prostate conditions, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer, should avoid Pepelif as it enhances iron absorption, which may increase oxidative stress and prostate cancer risk, particularly in older males.
✔️ Use During Pregnancy & Lactation
Pepelif is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings
- Use with caution in individuals with bleeding disorders or those on blood-thinning medications like aspirin or warfarin.
- Co-administration of Pepelif with oral hypoglycemic drugs may cause hypoglycemia. Regular blood glucose monitoring is essential to prevent excessively low blood sugar levels.
