✔️ Drug Interactions
Carbonyl Iron reduces absorption of:
- Tetracyclines
- Quinolones
- Levodopa
- Levothyroxine
- Methyldopa
- Penicillamine
Folic Acid may reduce plasma concentrations of phenobarbital, phenytoin, and primidone (antiepileptics).

Iron overload conditions (e.g., hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis)

Use with caution in iron overload states:
- Hemochromatosis
- Hemolytic anemia
- Aplastic anemia
Lack of response may indicate other causes of anemia, requiring further evaluation.
In renal failure, risk of zinc accumulation exists.
