✔️ Each ml of sterile ophthalmic solution contains:

• Dexamethasone (as Sodium Phosphate): 1 mg
• Levofloxacin (as Hemihydrate): 5 mg
• Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride 0.005%

✔️ Side Effects of Trevox D

• Common: Eye irritation, ocular hypertension, and headaches.
• Serious:
  • Increased intraocular pressure (IOP) or glaucoma with prolonged use.
  • Diabetics may risk subcapsular cataracts.
  • Corneal thinning or perforation in rare cases.

✔️ Instructions for Use: Trevox D

1. Wash hands thoroughly.
2. Avoid contact between the bottle tip and the eye or skin.
3. Tilt the head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instill one drop into the pocket.
4. After applying, press the inner corner of the eye to prevent systemic absorption.

✔️ Dosage of Trevox D

• Adults: One drop into the conjunctival sac every 6 hours for 7 days after surgery.
• Children: Not recommended for those under 18 years old due to insufficient safety data.

✔️ Overdose Effects

• Local overdose is unlikely to cause severe harm.
• Accidental oral ingestion is not expected to be life-threatening.

✔️ Interactions

Inform your doctor about all medications, including:

• Other eye drops or ointments.
• Ocular NSAIDs (e.g., ketorolac, diclofenac): Combined use with steroids can delay healing.
• Ritonavir or cobicistat (HIV treatment): May increase dexamethasone levels.
• Probenecid, cimetidine, cyclosporin: May alter levofloxacin absorption and metabolism.

• Hypersensitivity to any components.
• Viral diseases (e.g., herpes simplex keratitis, varicella).
• Mycobacterial or fungal infections of the eye.

• Pregnancy: Limited data; corticosteroids cross the placenta. Prolonged use may affect fetal development (e.g., low birth weight, vascular disorders).
• Lactation: Dexamethasone and levofloxacin may pass into breast milk; use with caution while nursing.

• Prolonged use may lead to antibiotic resistance or fungal overgrowth.
