✔️ Side Effects

Common:

• Eye irritation
• Mild burning or stinging sensation

Other Possible Effects:

• Temporary blurred vision
• Eye discomfort or dryness
• Foreign body sensation
• Headache, fever
• Sensitivity to light (photophobia)
• Allergic reactions or eyelid swelling

Most side effects are mild and temporary. Consult a doctor if they persist or worsen.

✔️ Missed Dose

If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as possible. If it is near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular schedule. Do not apply a double dose.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

General Instructions:

• For external (ophthalmic) use only
• Follow the prescribed dose and duration strictly

Adult Dose (Bacterial Conjunctivitis):

• Days 1–2: 1–2 drops every 2 hours (up to 8 times daily)
• Days 3–7: 1–2 drops every 4 hours (up to 4 times daily)

Pediatric Dose:

• ≥1 year: Same as adult dosing
• <1 year: Use only if prescribed by a physician

How to Apply:

• Wash hands before use
• Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it
• Instill drops into the lower eyelid
• Wipe off excess solution

✔️ Drug Interaction

• May enhance QT interval prolongation when used with antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g., quinidine, amiodarone)
• Reduced effectiveness with antacids or supplements containing magnesium, aluminium, calcium, zinc, or iron
• Increased risk of tendon disorders when combined with corticosteroids
• May alter blood glucose when used with antidiabetic medications
• Increased bleeding risk with warfarin

✔️ Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, quinolones, or any component of the formulation

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination
• Do not use while wearing contact lenses
• May cause temporary blurred vision—avoid driving or operating machinery immediately after use
• Use cautiously in breastfeeding women

✔️ Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place
• Keep away from light and heat
• Keep out of reach of children
