Cilosta 100 is prescribed for the management of intermittent claudication, a condition caused by reduced blood circulation to the legs. It helps relieve symptoms such as leg pain, cramping, numbness, and weakness that occur during walking by improving blood flow to the lower limbs. Cilosta 100 widens blood vessels and reduces platelet stickiness, thereby improving blood flow to the legs and reducing symptoms associated with poor circulation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration
- Recommended adult dose: 100 mg twice daily
- It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break it
- Dose adjustment may be required in patients taking enzyme inhibitors concurrently
Patients should continue taking the medicine regularly as prescribed. Symptom improvement may take up to 12 weeks.

✔️ Use Cilosta 100 cautiously in patients with:
- Congestive heart failure
- Liver or kidney impairment
- History of bleeding disorders
- Ventricular arrhythmias or prolonged QT interval
The medicine may increase the risk of bleeding. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice:
- Blood in vomit, urine, or stool
- Unusual bruising or pinpoint rash
Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs.

- Pregnancy Category: C
- Use during pregnancy only if clearly necessary
- Breastfeeding is not recommended as the excretion in breast milk is unknown
✔️ Drug Interactions
Caution is advised when used with medications affecting CYP3A4 or CYP2C19 enzymes, including:
- Erythromycin and other macrolides
- Diltiazem
- Omeprazole
These drugs may alter the blood levels and effectiveness of cilostazol.
