✔️ Directions for Use:

Apply the gel to clean, dry skin. Avoid bathing or showering for at least 30 minutes after application. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not cover the treated area with clothing until the gel has fully dried.

• For osteoarthritis: Apply 2 g of gel to upper extremities or 4 g to lower extremities every 6 hours.
• Maximum daily dose: 8 g per joint (upper extremities) and 16 g per joint (lower extremities).
• For local pain and inflammation relief: Apply to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily.
  Not recommended due to a lack of safety and efficacy data in children.

✔️ Drug Interactions:

• May increase blood levels of methotrexate, lithium, and digoxin.
• Combining with other NSAIDs or blood thinners (e.g., warfarin) heightens gastrointestinal bleeding risk.
• Risk of kidney damage increases when used with cyclosporine or triamterene.
• Bioavailability may decrease when taken with colestyramine, colestipol, or sucralfate.
• May reduce the effect of ophthalmic agents like acetylcholine or carbachol and raise the risk of corneal issues when used with corticosteroid eye drops.

✔️ Side Effects:

Common (>10%): Dry skin, rash, contact dermatitis, pain, tingling sensations, itching, and skin peeling.

✔️ Contraindications:

Do not use in individuals allergic to diclofenac or any ingredient in the formulation. Contraindicated in patients with asthma, urticaria, or acute rhinitis triggered by aspirin or other NSAIDs. Avoid applying under airtight (occlusive) dressings

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:

Pregnancy: Avoid using NSAIDs like diclofenac after 30 weeks of pregnancy due to the risk of premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus. The risk during earlier stages of pregnancy is uncertain.

Lactation: Oral diclofenac has been found in small amounts in breast milk. There is limited data on its impact on breastfeeding infants or milk production.

✔️ Precautions:

Use with caution in elderly patients and monitor closely. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. After application, wash your hands properly and do not ingest. The safety of use during lactation is not well established; its excretion in breast milk is unknown.

Store below 30°C and dry place, protect from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
