Lifil-E 400 Capsule

✔️ Lifil-E is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Vitamin E deficiency. It is also recommended as an antioxidant for various health conditions, including:

• Alzheimer’s Disease
• Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain
• Nerve Damage from Chemotherapy
• Male Infertility
• Age-related Macular Degeneration
• Keratectomy
• Premenstrual Syndrome
• Painful Menstrual Periods
• Heart Disease (to enhance the effectiveness of nitrates)

✔️ Mode of Action: Lifil-E

Vitamin E protects red blood cells from hemolysis, offers protection against free radicals affecting polyunsaturated fatty acids in cell membranes, and prevents the oxidation of vitamins A and C.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

• Age-related Macular Degeneration: 400-600 IU of Vitamin E daily.
• Heart Disease (to improve nitrate effectiveness): 200 IU of Vitamin E three times daily.
• Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease: 800-2000 IU of Vitamin E once or twice daily.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain: 600 IU of Vitamin E daily.
• Male Infertility: 200-600 IU of Vitamin E daily.
• Premenstrual Syndrome: 400 IU of Vitamin E daily.
• Painful Menstrual Periods: 200 IU of Vitamin E daily.

✔️ Interactions

Liqu-E may hinder the absorption of Vitamins A and K and can enhance the effects of Warfarin.

✔️ Contraindications

Liqu-E is contraindicated for individuals with known hypersensitivity to Vitamin E. It should also be avoided by patients with rare hereditary disorders such as fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency.

• Fatigue
• Headache
• Flatulence
• Diarrhea
• Blurred vision
• Necrotizing enterocolitis (in infants)
• Increased serum creatinine levels
• Increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke
• Recent evidence suggests that Vitamin E may suppress the action of other antioxidants

✔️ Overdose Effects of Lifil-E

Transient gastrointestinal disturbances can occur with doses greater than 1000 IU daily; general supportive measures should be employed as needed.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

There is insufficient evidence regarding the safety of high doses of Vitamin E during pregnancy; hence, it is advised not to use it, especially in the first trimester. Additionally, there is no information available on its excretion in breast milk, so caution is recommended during lactation.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

Liqu-E has been reported to increase the bleeding tendency in patients with Vitamin K deficiency or those on anticoagulant therapy; thus, monitoring prothrombin time and international normalized ratio (INR) is advisable to detect any changes in coagulation status. It may also heighten the risk of thrombosis in predisposed patients, particularly in women taking estrogen-containing oral contraceptives.
