✅ Description:
Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant in the body, protecting polyunsaturated fatty acids and other oxygen-sensitive substances such as vitamins A and C from oxidation. Vitamin E deficiency in premature neonates can lead to irritability, edema, thrombosis, and hemolytic anemia. In adults and children with low serum tocopherol concentrations, effects such as creatinuria, ceroid deposition, muscle weakness, decreased erythrocyte survival, or increased in vitro hemolysis by oxidizing agents have been observed.

✔️ Indications of E-Soft 400IU Capsule
E-Soft (d-alpha tocopherol) capsules are indicated for the treatment and prevention of vitamin E deficiency. They are also recommended as antioxidants to support, prevent, and treat various health conditions such as:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain
- Nerve Damage Caused by Chemotherapy
- Male Infertility
- Age-related Macular Degeneration
- Keratectomy
- Premenstrual Syndrome
- Painful Menstrual Periods
- Heart Disease (to improve the effectiveness of nitrates)
✔️ Dosage & Administration of E-Soft 400IU Capsule
- Age-related Macular Degeneration: Vitamin E 400-600 IU daily.
- Heart Disease (to improve the effectiveness of Nitrates): Vitamin E 200 IU three times daily.
- Dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease: Vitamin E 800-2000 IU one to two times daily.
- Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain: Vitamin E 600 IU daily.
- Improving Male Infertility: Vitamin E 200-600 IU daily.
- Menstrual Syndrome: Vitamin E 400 IU daily.
- Painful Menstrual Period: Vitamin E 200 IU daily.
✔️ Interactions:
E-Soft may impair the absorption of vitamin A and the function of vitamin K, and it may potentiate the effect of Warfarin.
✔️ Contraindications:
Avoid E-Soft if there is a known hypersensitivity to vitamin E. Patients with rare hereditary conditions such as fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.
✔️ Overdose Effects of E-Soft 400IU Capsule
Transient gastrointestinal disturbances have been reported with doses greater than 1000 IU daily. Employ general supportive measures as necessary.
✔️ Side Effects of E-Soft 400IU Capsule
Nausea, Tiredness, Headache, Rash
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:
High doses of vitamin E are not considered safe during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Avoid use during lactation due to insufficient information on excretion in breast milk.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings:
E-Soft has been reported to increase bleeding tendency in vitamin K-deficient patients or those on anticoagulant therapy. Monitor prothrombin time and INR. There may be an increased risk of thrombosis in patients predisposed to this condition, including those taking estrogen-containing oral contraceptives.
✔️ Storage Conditions:
Store E-Soft in a dry place away from light and heat, and keep it out of the reach of children.
