✔️ Drug Interactions

Drug–Drug: Inform your doctor if you are taking antidepressants (duloxetine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, sertraline), diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide), antihypertensives (lisinopril), corticosteroids (prednisone), or antidiabetics (metformin).

Drug–Food: No significant food interactions reported.

Drug–Disease: Use with caution if you have asthma, fluid retention, gastrointestinal disease, kidney or liver problems, thrombosis, anemia, heart disease, hypertension, hyperkalemia, or bleeding disorders.

✔️ Administration

May be taken with or without food, as prescribed.

Usually taken once or twice daily.

Swallow the tablet whole with water—do not crush, break, or chew.

✔️ Contraindications & Precautions

Do not take Nabumetone if you are allergic to its ingredients, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, or if you have a history of stomach/peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, perforation, severe heart failure, cirrhosis, kidney disease, or if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Consult your doctor if you have a history of asthma, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, liver/kidney/heart conditions, hypertension, stroke, edema, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, high cholesterol, infections, smoking habit, or are above 65 years of age. Nabumetone is not suitable for children.

Seek urgent medical attention if you experience breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, severe blistering rash, chest pain, sudden weakness/numbness, confusion, black or tarry stools, or blood in vomit. Avoid use if you have recently had a heart attack unless specifically advised by your doctor.

Nabumetone may cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, or perforation of the stomach/intestines. Stop treatment and consult your doctor immediately if you develop stomach pain, vomiting blood or coffee-ground-like material, heartburn, or bloody/black stools.

Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Store out of reach of children.
