✔️ Ketoalfa 600 mg Tablet Dosage & Administration

• for administration via the mouth. Do not chew or crush; simply swallow whole. Adults with a Body Weight (BW) >70 kg should take this dosage.
• Chronic renal insufficiency: Take 4–8 tablets, three times per day, during meals, unless otherwise directed.
• Compensated retention: Unless otherwise directed, take 4–8 tablets three times daily along with high-calorie (150–170 KJ; 35–40 kcal) and low-protein (500–600 mg protein/kg BW per day) diets.
• Decompensated retention: Unless otherwise directed, take 4–8 tablets three times daily along with high-calorie (150–170 KJ, or 35–40 kcal) and low-protein (300–400 mg protein/kg BW per day) diets.

✔️ Side Effects

Hypercalcemia (very uncommon), Vitamin D consumption needs to be decreased if hypercalcaemia develops. Reduce the amount of Amino Acid Keto Analogues and any other calcium sources it consume if this hypercalcaemia doesn't go away.

Hypercalcemia is a disorder of amino acid metabolism.

May cause hypercalcemia, hence screen the serum calcium level occasionally.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

The administration of amino acid solutions during pregnancy in humans is successful and safe. The amino acid has not been used in animal reproductive research.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Deliver the quiet with enough calories.
• Given that it may result in hypercalcemia, concurrent use of other calcium-containing medications needs to be carefully considered.
• The serum calcium level must be periodically checked in this way.
• Not to be administered with medications that only slightly dissolve in calcium (e.g. Tetracycline).
