Reported side effects include:

Local irritation, erythematous rash, or contact dermatitis
Headache, bradycardia, muscle tremors, ataxia
Heartburn or acid reflux
Exacerbation of asthma, leading to wheezing or difficulty breathing
Urticaria (hives)

✔️ Adult Dosage of Bexizole

Oral: 0.2 ml peppermint oil three times daily, which may be increased to 0.4 ml three times daily if necessary.

Duration of therapy: Up to 3 months.

Concomitant use with alcohol may intensify side effects.
Enteric-coated peppermint oil preparations should not be taken with antacids, as this may lead to premature dissolution of the coating.
