✔️ How does Hypnofast 7.5 work?

Hypnofast 7.5 mg's effects are mediated through the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, enhancing GABA activity, which induces sedation, muscle relaxation, sleep, anesthesia, and amnesia. The drug binds to benzodiazepine sites on GABA-A receptors, increasing chloride channel opening frequency, and resulting in sedative and anxiolytic effects.

✔️ Common side effects at the start of therapy may include:

• Daytime drowsiness.
• Confusion.
• Fatigue.
• Headache.
• Muscle weakness. These effects usually diminish with continued use. Following IV or IM administration, fluctuations in vital signs, such as respiratory depression, apnea, and variations in blood pressure and pulse rate, have been observed.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Hypnofast 7.5

• Oral Administration:
  • Insomnia:
    • Adults: 7.5 mg to 15 mg daily.
    • Elderly: 7.5 mg daily.
  • Premedication:
    • 7.5 mg to 15 mg, taken 30-60 minutes before the procedure.
• Intravenous (IV) Administration:
  • Endoscopic or Cardiovascular Procedures:
    • Adults: Initial dose of 2.5 mg.
    • Elderly and debilitated patients: Initial dose of 1-1.5 mg.
  • Induction of Anesthesia:
    • Adults: 10-15 mg.
    • Children: 0.15-0.20 mg/kg body weight.
    • Elderly and debilitated patients: 0.025-0.05 mg/kg.
• Intramuscular (IM) Administration:
  • Adults: 0.07-0.1 mg/kg body weight (typically around 5 mg).
  • Children: 0.15-0.20 mg/kg.
  • Elderly and debilitated patients: 0.025-0.05 mg/kg.
• Rectal Administration in Children:
  • For preoperative sedation: 0.35-0.45 mg/kg, 20-30 minutes before induction of general anesthesia.

✔️ Overdose Effects of Hypnofast 7.5

An extreme overdose of Hypnofast 7.5 mg may lead to coma, areflexia, cardiorespiratory depression, and apnea. Overdose effects can be managed with the benzodiazepine antagonist flumazenil.

✔️ Interaction of Hypnofast 7.5

Hypnofast 7.5 mg may amplify the central sedative effects when used with neuroleptics, tranquilizers, antidepressants, sedative antihistamines, sleep-inducing drugs, analgesics, anesthetics, antipsychotics, and antiepileptic drugs.

✔️ Hypnofast 7.5 mg should not be used in patients with:

• Severe respiratory insufficiency.
• Severe hepatic insufficiency.
• Myasthenia gravis.
• Sleep apnea syndrome.
• Known hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines or any component of the formulation.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Pregnancy: There is insufficient data on the safety of Hypnofast 7.5 mg during pregnancy, and benzodiazepines may adversely affect the fetus. Use should be avoided unless no safer alternative exists.
• Breastfeeding: Hypnofast 7.5 mg passes into breast milk, so it should not be used by nursing mothers.

• Prolonged use is not recommended unless necessary.
