- This formulation combines non-systemic acid-neutralizing agents with an antiflatulent.
- Aluminium Hydroxide & Magnesium Hydroxide: Neutralize excess gastric acid secreted by parietal cells, providing ulcer relief and reducing acidity.
- Simethicone: Acts as an antifoaming agent. It spreads over liquid surfaces, lowers surface tension, and collapses foam bubbles. This facilitates the merging of gas bubbles in the GI tract, enabling their easy expulsion.
- Simethicone is physiologically inert, not absorbed from the GI tract, and excreted unchanged in feces.

Antacids may alter absorption of other oral drugs.
Decreased bioavailability: theophylline, tetracyclines, quinolone antibiotics, isoniazid, ketoconazole, ethambutol, certain antimuscarinics, benzodiazepines, phenothiazines, ranitidine, indomethacin, nitrofurantoin, fluoride, phosphate, propranolol, atenolol, digoxin, vitamins, etc.
Increased bioavailability: sulphonamides, levodopa, valproic acid, enteric-coated aspirin, etc.

Abdominal distension caused by partial or complete intestinal obstruction
