✔️ Tinea pedis (Athlete’s foot)

A fungal infection that usually starts between the toes.

Caused by dermatophyte fungi.

Common symptoms: itching, burning, peeling, or cracked skin (especially between toes), foul odor, and sometimes blisters.

More common in people who wear tight shoes or whose feet stay sweaty/damp for long periods.

✔️ Tinea cruris (Dhobie itch / Jock itch)

A fungal infection of the groin, inner thighs, and buttocks.

Caused by dermatophyte fungi, spread by sweat, tight clothing, or sharing towels.

Symptoms: red, itchy, ring-shaped rash with raised edges; sometimes scaling or burning sensation.

More common in men and in hot, humid climates.

✔️ Tinea corporis (Ringworm of the body)

A superficial fungal infection of the body’s skin (not scalp, feet, or groin).

Caused by dermatophytes.

Symptoms: round, red, scaly patches with clear or normal-looking skin in the center (ring-shaped appearance).

It spreads by direct contact with infected people, animals, or contaminated objects.

✔️ Pityriasis versicolor (Tinea versicolor)

A superficial fungal infection caused by Malassezia (a yeast that normally lives on skin).

Affects the chest, back, shoulders, neck, and upper arms.

Symptoms: small discolored patches (lighter or darker than surrounding skin), mild scaling, sometimes mild itching.

Often more noticeable after sun exposure because affected areas don’t tan like the rest of the skin.

Common (1–10%):

• Itching (pruritus) (1–2%)

Less common (<1%):

• Irritation
• Stinging
• Redness (erythema)
• Rash
• Folliculitis
• Papules, nodules
• Maceration (skin softening)
• Fissuring (cracks in skin)
• Rarely, hair thinning may also occur.

✔️ How Oxifun Works?

Oxifun (oxiconazole) is a synthetic azole antifungal.

It inhibits ergosterol synthesis, which disrupts the fungal cell membrane.

This leads to the death or halted growth of fungi.

At higher concentrations, it may act as fungicide.

It also shows mild antibacterial activity against aerobic gram-positive organisms.

Known hypersensitivity to oxiconazole or other imidazole derivatives.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

For external use only – avoid contact with eyes, mouth, or nose.

Stop use if severe irritation, redness, or sensitization occurs.

Cross-sensitivity may occur with other imidazole antifungals.

Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Small amounts may pass into breast milk.
