Adults (Topical):

Tinea cruris, corporis, cutaneous candidiasis: Apply BID (twice daily) for 2 weeks

Tinea versicolor: Apply once daily for 2 weeks

Tinea pedis: Apply BID for 4 weeks

Children:

<2 years: Safety not established

>2 years: Apply BID for up to 1 month

⚠️ For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.

✔️ Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to miconazole or formulation components

✔️ Miconazole may:

Potentiate anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin → ↑bleeding risk)
Increase or prolong the effects of:
Oral hypoglycemics (sulfonylureas)
Phenytoin
HIV protease inhibitors (saquinavir)
Antineoplastic drugs (docetaxel, vinca alkaloids, busulfan)
Calcium channel blockers (verapamil, dihydropyridines)
Immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus)
CNS drugs (midazolam, alprazolam, buspirone, carbamazepine, triazolam)
Potentially fatal interactions: May cause serious arrhythmias with cisapride, astemizole, quinidine, pimozide, halofantrine, sertindole, terfenadine, etc.
↑ Risk of rhabdomyolysis with statins (simvastatin, lovastatin).
↑ Risk of ergotism with ergot alkaloids.

Avoid application in/around the eyes

Use with caution during lactation (unknown excretion in breast milk)
