✔️ Indications: Adjunct anti-epileptic drugs
- Neuropathic Pain
- Adjunctive therapy in partial seizure and secondary generalized seizure
✔️ Dosage: Gabapen 300
Neuropathic Pain:
- Day 1: Initiate treatment with a single dose of 300 mg.
- Day 2: Increase to 300 mg twice daily.
- Day 3: Increase to 300 mg three times daily.
- After Day 3, titrate up to a maximum of 1800 mg daily (divided into three doses) as needed for pain relief.
Epilepsy:
- Patients over 12 years: Effective daily dose ranges from 900 mg to 1800 mg, administered in three divided doses, starting with 300 mg three times a day.
- Pediatric patients (ages 3-12): Starting dose of 10-15 mg/kg/day in three divided doses, titrated upward over approximately three days.
Administration: Gabapentin can be taken orally, with or without food.

- Peripheral edema

- Antacids may decrease the bioavailability of Gabapentin by up to 20%.
