✔️ Side Effects | Dermex NN Cream

Prolonged or extensive use may cause systemic absorption leading to hypercortisolism, especially in children or when used with occlusive dressings.

Long-term intensive use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks, visible blood vessel dilation, pigmentation changes, or increased hair growth.

✔️ Dosage & Administration | Dermex NN Cream

Adults: Apply sparingly to the affected area once or twice daily until symptoms improve. In resistant cases (e.g., with thickened skin), occlusion with plastic film may enhance results. Treatment should not exceed 7 days without medical supervision, and no more than 4 weeks without review.

Elderly: Safe for use, but caution is needed in renal impairment since systemic absorption of neomycin can occur.

Children (2+ years): Same dosing as adults. Not recommended in infants under 2 years due to increased absorption risk.

✔️ Interaction

• Neomycin, if significantly absorbed, may enhance respiratory depression caused by neuromuscular blockers.
• Systemic exposure is minimal if used correctly, making interactions unlikely.
• No harmful interactions reported with Clobetasol or Nystatin.

✔️ Not suitable for use in:

• Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis.
• Primary viral skin infections (e.g., herpes simplex, chickenpox).
• Known hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Neomycin can cross the placenta and may cause potential fetal toxicity.

Clobetasol's safety during breastfeeding has not been confirmed.

Use in pregnancy and lactation is generally not recommended.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Avoid long-term continuous use, especially in children, due to the risk of adrenal suppression.
• Take care when applying near the eyes to prevent accidental entry, as this may cause glaucoma.
• If the cream/ointment enters the eye, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

• Do not freeze.
