Indications of Limbix Tablet

When used in conjunction with moderate to severe anxiety, Limbix Tablet is suggested for the treatment of moderate to severe depression. sleeplessness, guilt or worthlessness feelings, agitation and mental and physical anxiety, suicidal ideation, and anorexia are among the symptoms that will likely improve in the first week of treatment.

Pharmacology of Limbix Tablet

Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline are both tricyclic antidepressants. Because amitriptyline interferes with the brain's ability to reabsorb norepinephrine and serotonin Because Amitriptyline interferes with reuptake, it has antidepressant properties. As a result, chlordiazepoxide causes membrane hyperpolarization by increasing GABA-mediated chloride inflow through GABA receptor channels. Sédative and anxiolytic effects are due to neuro-inhibitory net effects.

Limbix Tablet Dosage & Administration

Optimum dosage varies with the severity of the symptoms and the response of the individual patient. When a satisfactory response is obtained, the dosage should be reduced to the smallest amount needed to maintain the remission. The larger portion of the total daily dose may be taken at bedtime. In some patients, a single dose at bedtime may be sufficient. This tablet in an initial dosage of 3 or 4 tablets daily in divided doses is satisfactory. Or directed by the physician.

Interaction of Limbix Tablet

The Amitriptyline in this composition may interfere with the antihypertensive effects of guanethidine or other drugs with a similar mechanism of action.

Contraindications of Limbix Tablet

Patients with benzodiazepine or tricyclic antidepressant hypersensitivity should not take this medication. A monoamine oxidase inhibitor should not be taken with it.

Limbix Tablet Side Effects

In addition to anorexia, this medication has been reported to produce anorexia-related adverse effects such as tiredness and weakness, restlessness, and lethargy.

Constipation, dizziness and bloating were the most common side effects. Vivid dreams, impotence, tremor, confusion, and nasal congestion were among the less usual symptoms of a cold or flu.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy and lactation are not recommended for this preparation.

Precautions & Warnings

If you've had a history of seizures, use this medication with caution! Patients with hyperthyroidism or those on thyroid medication must be closely monitored when this product is administered. Whenever treating a patient with reduced renal or hepatic function, standard precautions should be followed. Patients on antidepressants for whatever reason should be thoroughly monitored for clinical worsening, suicidality, and other odd changes in behavior, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
