✔️ Indication of Glysup 2.30gm Suppository

Glysup suppository is indicated for the relief of occasional constipation. It contains glycerin, a hyperosmotic laxative that is administered rectally. 

✔️ Pharmacology

Glycerin works by drawing water into the bowel from surrounding tissues, which softens the stool mass and increases bowel action. This typically results in a bowel movement within 15 minutes to 1 hour after administration, providing fast and predictable relief of constipation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Glysup 2.30gm Suppository

The dosage and administration instructions vary based on age:

• For children under 2 years old: Use as directed by the physician.
• For children aged 2 to 6 years: Administer only 1 Glycerin 1.15 Suppository per day or as directed by the physician.
• For adults and children aged 6 years and older: Administer only 1 Glycerin 2.30 Suppository per day or as directed by the physician.

The suppository should be inserted well into the rectum. It does not need to melt completely to produce the laxative action.
